Find more here We arrived early, soon as we got there they got us kitted out and offered to get us on the river earlier so we can make the most of our time. From the get-go the staff was friendly and the views all along the river were beautiful, it was a very calm patch that we paddled down so even without experience it was a great easy going day. Jason Eggby *Google Verified Craig and I had a fantastic 2-day canoeing trip with Hereford Kayak and Canoeing. The staff were so helpful, all the covid stuff was adhered to. Safety information was super. Facilities were excellent.We arrived at Byecross Farm, briefed, allocated a canoe, and then driven to Witney on Wye where we spent the next five hours canoeing gently back to Byecross Farm where we enjoyed coffee and a change of clothes in to dry clothing after capsizing earlier but that didn’t spoil our day whatsoever..The following day we entered the water at Byecross Farm and again gently canoe to Hereford. The birdlife was spectacular even if you’re not into birds, the weather was glorious – fortunately, and all facilities were excellent. All of the staff were lovely but in particular, Dom was very helpful, cheery, and very prompt in picking us up at Hereford Rowing Club for the return journey to Byecross Farm. We will definitely be going again next year. It was just great. We thoroughly enjoyed it, we had a full briefing on how to safely kayak which was great. The guy was really friendly and made us feel very welcome. We were driven in a minibus about 10mins up the road where we were guided to the water (social distancing was maintained the chap was great at verbally helping us on how to get in without capsizing haha) and we then kayaked downstream back to the base/campsite (it was clearly marked on the river and he told us what to look out for just before reaching the campsite/base). We were told it would take 2-3 hours to get from the start point back to the base but if we were a bit longer it was fine (how lovely!). It was really enjoyable – it was so peaceful on the river, fantastic views and it was manageable for a complete beginner/novice. I would thoroughly recommend them and will be booking in the future.
